Why did dinosaurs go extinct? There is a very little known theory that pins the whole mass extinction event on the Tyrannosaurus rex. The story suggests that the T-rex was one determined tyrant lizard. With a bat in hand he planned to send that pesky meteorite back into space. Despite his resolve and best efforts, however, the poor lizard king just wasn’t a very good ball player. Maybe if he had been a little bit better at baseball dinosaurs would still roam the Earth.
